T&T was too hot for Chile 2-1
Nigeria shock defending champions Korea DPR 3-2
Germany Destroyed Mxico 9-0
Korea Republic cooled off South Africa 4-1

Mexico Germany Highlights and Goals (all 9 goals). Good game, good goals and good team. I felt sorry for the Mexico keeper. After seeing the Germans play I might have to change my favorite for the tournament.

FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in T&T

Trinidad and Tobago will be hosting the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup which begins today(September 5th). The host nation opens against Chile. The U-17 American women’s failed to qualify for a major tournament for the first time when they were knocked out by the Canadians in the qualifying rounds. North Korea, Champions at the inaugural FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in 2008 in New Zealand are the favorite to repeat. But, I am going with Trinidad and Tobago as the favorite. Gooooooooooooooooooooooooo T&T!!!!!

Is this a legal penalty kick?

Brazil 18 year old supper star and perhaps the next big name in soccer scored a penalty kick while playing in Brazil with his Club team. I believe anywhere else in the world its an illegal kick because once you start your run you cannot stop or fake the shot. Maybe I am wrong. It was a great penalty but is it legal?

Fire 98 girls with Rachel Givan- back row third from left

Former Ridgeland high school soccer star and the University of North Carolina women’s soccer player Rachel Givan, took some time off from her summer workout to train with the fire 98 girls team. It was a wonderful experience for the girls because they got to witness Rachel outstanding work ethic. Rachel trained with the team for 4 days before she left for preseason training with UNC . Rochester NY Soccer Camp

Coaches

I was in Rochester NY for the last two weeks helping with the Craig Demmin Soccer Camp. This is a picture of some of the Coaches. I had a wonderful time with the Rochester kids. The U-10 girls team from Rochester that participated in the Dwyane Demmin 3v3 tournament in Jackson on May 1st 2010 was at both of Craig’s Soccer Camp. They had such a wonderful time in Jackson and are already making plans to return for the 2nd annual Dwyane Demmin Soccer 3v3 Tournament.

The Rochester girls qualified for the National 3v3 Championship in Disney World and will be leaving on Wednesday 28th July. There 1st game is on Saturday morning. Good luck Girls!
