About Me
A native of Arima, Trinidad, Dwyane came to the USA on a soccer scholarship to Belhaven College. While earning his undergraduate degree from Belhaven, Dwyane was named a three time All American soccer player, and was voted 1996’s NAIA player of the year.
During his off seasons he was a member of the Jackson Chargers semi-professional team where he was awarded “USL defender of the year honors”. In later years, he represented his native country by playing on the Trinidad and Tobago Olympic and World Cup teams. Besides excelling as a player, Dwyane proved to be just as exceptional at coaching.
In 2005 he led the St Joseph HS men’s soccer team to its 4th consecutive State championship and the overall number one ranking in the State. In doing so, he made history by becoming the first men’s soccer coach to lead his team to a four-peat. This accomplishment earned him the honor of Mississippi’s “2005 Soccer Coach of the Year”. In 2009 he led the St. Joe men’s soccer team to their 6th title in eight consecutive appearance at the State championship game. In 2007, he represented the MS Brilla FC and was named to the PDL best 11.
Coach Demmin is a successful coach, an experienced professional player, a leader who possesses a wealth of soccer knowledge and has a deep passion to share this knowledge with young soccer players.
