Top 25 MLS highest paid players for 2009

This information was released in September 2009 from the MLS Players Union.
Major league Soccer Players Union has released the list of 2009 player salaries.
The MLS player salaries are broken down into two numbers: the player’s current basic salary and the annual average guaranteed compensation. The annual average guaranteed compensation number includes the player’s annual basic salary, plus all signing and guaranteed bonuses annualized over the term of the player’s contract, and any annual marketing revenues and agent’s fees over the term of the contract. This figures does not take into account performance bonuses.
The minimum salary for a Developmental players has also been raised from $12,900 to $20,100 basic salary to a handful of young Americans.
