Inaugural Year- A Look Back At Women’s Professional Soccer 2009

It has been over three months since the conclusion of the Women’s Professional Soccer League in America. I was very surprised by the number of female soccer players and parents that were not aware that the league even existed.
A few days ago, I began asking some questions to several female soccer players. My questions were: Who won the women’s professional league? Name one of the players from the league, Name one of the teams in the league?
Some of their answers were: I don’t know. Is there a professional women’s league? Ummmmm!!!? After hearing those answers I realized that these players have missed out on watching some quality women’s soccer games.
As we continue to develop and improve on our skills, I think it’s important to watch ans learn from others who have played at a professional level. I remember growing up in Trinidad watching professional games on television. After watching those games I would go outside and work on some of the dribbling moves and tricks that I saw on T.V.
One of my favorite players to watch was Diego Maradona from Argentina, He was the best player during his generation. He was amazing! Because of him, I have learned the Maradona dribbling move.
